Cookie ornaments are very fun and very easy, just don’t eat them!
Materials
“Sugar Cookies”
2 C. Flour
1 C. Salt
3/4 C. Water
“Gingerbread Cookies”
1 C. Flour
1/2 C. Salt
1/2 C. Cinnamon
3/4 C. Water
Directions
1. Simply mix together all ingredients into a pliable dough.
If it’s too wet add more flour, if it’s too dry add more water.
2. Roll dough flat using a rolling pin and cutting board.
3. Cut “cookies” out using cookie cutters. Before they dry, use the
prong of a fork to make a hole.
4. Allow to dry for 24 hours and make a loop through the hole.
If you’re ready to feel a little bit like a grandma, sew a few of these (they also make great cat toys).
Materials
Felt (any color)
Thick Thread
Thin Thread (any color)
Stuffing
Needle
Directions
1. Fold a piece of felt in half then cut into any shape you desire. You should then
have two identical shapes.
2. Using a needle and thin thread, sew the two pieces together almost all the
way, leaving about two inches open.
3. Stuff the ornament with stuffing until it is fairly thick.
4. Finish sewing the rest of the way.
