Packing can be one of the hardest parts of traveling, especially when you have kids. For today, I’m going to focus on a packing list for the average adult that can work for almost any trip. All the items with stars are great to take in your carry-on.

The key is to pick and choose exactly what you need; by looking at a list like this and going over ever item, you can make sure you’re not overlooking anything.
Example
A friend of mine is going on a 1 week trip to Italy next week (the last week of April). Every day the temperature will be about 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Using this list, her packing list would include:
- About 10 pair of underpants
- About 14 pairs of socks
- As many bras as needed
- Pajamas
- 5-7 casual shirts
- 3-5 blouses
- 2-3 pairs of pants
- 2-3 pairs of shorts and skirts
- 2-3 dresses
- 1-2 sweaters
- 1-2 swimsuits
- 2-4 Jackets, including 1 rainproof
- 1-2 pairs of comfortable walking shoes
- 1-2 pairs of sandals
- 2-3 pairs of other shoes
- Jewelry
- 2-3 bags / purses
- Sunglasses
- Umbrella
In addition to bringing the clothing listed above, she is also planning to bring pretty much everything in the toiletry and other lists.
As always, I hope everyone has a good week and let me know if there’s anything else you bring when you travel!
