Make it Yourself Monday: Apple Sauce

Forewarning; I used honeycrisp apples so my apple sauce came out a bit chunky and tart.

Regardless of this fact it was actually pretty fun and easy to make and it tastes delicious, but next time I might use a type of apple that’s a little softer and sweeter.

4 Apples

1/4 cup Water

1/4 cup Sugar

1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)

  1.  Put all ingredients in large pot and cover
  2. Heat all ingredients over medium heat until apples are are soft, about 30 minutes

  1. Remove lid and squish apples until you have one consistency
  2. Let cool
  3. Enjoy!

I think that this recipe is really great because it’s really simple and because of that it’s something anyone could feel comfortable feeding their family. It’s also a pretty cheap and easy snack!

As always, I hope everyone has a good week and let me know what I should try to make next!
